WHAT'S GOING ON
We continue to decorate and improve the club and its facilities.
We have new outdoor tables and chairs and work carried out to cut back the trees has meant that the beer terrace is much lighter and brighter and a lovely place to sit out and enjoy the sunshine on an early afternoon.
​​Our committee are working hard to organise a range of events and competitions. Keep your eye on Facebook for details of our new members lottery draw, race night, quiz, clairvoyant evening, themed discos and trip to Ebor Races all coming up in the next few months ....not to mention the HUGE Play Your Cards cash prize that is steadily building up and waiting to be won.

We celebrated our President John Moreton's 20th anniversary earlier this year and were joined by CIU branch representatives, Johns friends and family who travelled to join us to thank John and award him with a long-service certificate.

Darts season has come to a close for this year and we were proud to win the League Knockout trophy. Our darts area is getting a make over during the summer and we would be very keen to have a second team either in this or another local league. If you are interested please let Steve know.

Boroughbridge Social Club Golf Society had its first Golf Day 27th April with a trip to Barnard Castle. The winner on that occasion was Ryan Bailes. We hope to make these a regular feature and the next one is already planned for Sunday 1st June. If you fancy joining in call in and see Steve to get the details.

Sandra Warriner - Club Secretary will be taking part in the Macmillan Mighty Hike, walking 26 miles including some big hills in July round the Gower Peninsula to raise money for Macmillan. If you would like to sponsor Sandra and motivate her to get round all of this gruelling walk please call in and ask at the bar - all sponsorship or donations welcome and appreciated for this superb cause.
